Cristiano Ronaldo Living the Dream after Signing New Five-Year Contract

Cristiano Ronaldo has categorically denied suggestions that his new five-year contract with Real Madrid will be his last in football.

Since making his move to Manchester United as an 18-year-old with a lot of talent, Ronaldo’s career has grown steadily to the point where he is now considered as the best player in the world. It is widely believed that he will be crowned as the new FIFA Ballon d’Or award holder in the next few weeks. It would be his fourth title, although he remains comfortably behind Lionel Messi who has five.

Ronaldo will not be receiving any increase in wages as a result of this new contract, which will continue to pay him £ 365,000 per week. It still makes him as one of the best paid players in the world, while also keeping him just above Gareth Bale, who also recently extended his contract. Ronaldo was widely tipped to consider a move away from the club when his current contract with Madrid came to an end in the summer of 2019.

Now, Madrid are set to face a transfer embargo and have been in the process of extending the contracts of their current stars. After the likes of Bale, Luka Modric, and Toni Kroos, Ronaldo becomes the latest star to commit to Madrid.

“I’m on the crest of a wave. Look back at my last season; win the Champions League with Real Madrid, win the European Championship with Portugal and sign a five-year deal at Madrid. What more can I say? It is a dream year, unbelievable. The only thing that would have made it better was winning the jackpot on SNAI!. It was something I thought was impossible.I am a dreamer but another thing is achieving your goals. It is true the stats are unbelievable, I never expected to score so many goals in such a short period of time … and I want to keep rewriting history,” said Ronaldo.
