Vidic: We Need Ronaldo

Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic admits the dressing room is anxious to see Cristiano Ronaldo reject a move to Real Madrid.
"I hope that Cristiano stays in Manchester because we need him," said Vidic. "He is currently enjoying a great moment in his career and I believe he wants to continue to improve with this team.

"For me, he is the best player in the world and he shows this in every game.

"What would happen if Cristiano left for Real Madrid? I don't want to think about that now ..."

Meanwhile, in The Sun, United's fitness coach Walter Di Salvo is confident that United have persuaded Ronaldo to sign a new deal.

Di Salvo is quoted saying "United have his new contract ready with important figures and it's impossible that he'll leave.

"A move to Real Madrid is completely ruled out."
