Barca in Driving Seat
Barcelona moved into the driving seat in the league, with a 2-0 win in the classico against Real Madrid winning them a three-point cushion.
Cristiano Ronaldo said that it would come down to small margins, and so it proved.
Barcelona scored from their first two chances on Real Madrid's goal. The Whites tried to defeat an inspired Victor Valdes, who saved all of their shots. Messi and Pedro scored for Barça.
The league is far from lost as there are seven games left in the campaign and 21 points still in play. Barcelona only have a 3-point cushion over the Madridistas and their calendar is more complicated. The league is still very much open.
Everyone believed the Clasico would not play a decisive role before it took place, and there is much more reason to believe so now.
