Calderon: Ronaldo has Signed

It's the news that we have felt coming for some time now, with Ronaldo professing his love for Real, and Real openly persuing Cristiano, and now it looks like the saga might be reaching its climax.

Having said nothing to the Press since Euro 2008 ("You will know more in 2 or 3 days"), Cristiano Ronaldo's future looked to be back in Manchester, with the clubs failing to agree a fee, and United not eve thinking of accepting an offer.

But it looks like United are the only party in the deal who don't know that Ronny will be at Madrid next season - with Ronaldo astoundingly having already SIGNED for Real.

The unlikely news came out as Real Supremo Calderon boasted about his talk with Wimbledon Tennis Champion Rafa Nadal. The two spoke just hours after 22-year-old Nadal had beaten Roger Federer in their Centre Court final epic on Sunday.

Nadal met Calderon in the grounds of the All England Club on Sunday night and a Spanish-speaking onlooker heard him ask: “OK, President, where’s this Cristiano Ronaldo we’re supposed to be signing?”

The Real chief replied: “Relax, Rafa, everything’s under control and we’ve got him done and dusted.”
