Carrick: Ronaldo Makes it Easy

Manchester United new-boy Michael Carrick is used to playing alongside the pedestrian midfielders in teh mould of Edgar Davids and Jermain Jenas, but playing for Manchester United has opened up his eyes!

Where before he would carry the ball to the half-way line, nowadays he just looks up and tries to find that red-shirted number 7 as soon as possible!

"Cristiano is on fire, he improving all the time," declared Carrick. "The lads say that compared to last year, he has tightened up his game and is at a new level again.

"It is making my job in the midfield a lot easier, just giving him the ball and letting him do the rest.

"I am enjoying playing with him."

And Cristiano is probably happier playing alongside you Michael (rather than Fletcehr or O'Shea!)
