City to Bid £135m!

Manchester City's new found wealth will send heads spinning come the next transfer window - with the Abu Dhabi company reportedly set to offer 135 million pounds for Cristiano Ronaldo!

Cristiano has been looking to move away all summer, but then decided that Manchester is the best place for him (for now) - but could he really swap the Red of United for teh Sky-Blue of nouveau-rich Man City?

"Ronaldo has said he wants to play for the biggest club in the world, so we will see in January if he is serious," said Dr Sulaiman Al-Fahim, of the Abu Dhabi United Group.

Attracting United's Ronaldo is a massive challenge for the billionaire tycoons, backed by members of the United Arab Emirates royal family, who have taken control of the club from Thaksin Shinawatra.

"Real Madrid were estimating his value at $160m (£90m) but for a player like that, to actually get him, will cost a lot more; I would think $240m (£135m). But why not? We are going to be the biggest club in the world, bigger than both Real Madrid and Manchester United."

Ronaldo surely wouldn't go, would he? We think Real Madrid would have to be Bankrupted and relegated for Manchester City to become a more appealing option!
