CR7 AGREES NEW AL-NASSR DEAL
Cristiano Ronaldo and Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr have reportedly agreed to extend the Portuguese superstar's contract for an additional year, keeping him at the club until 2026.

Ronaldo, who turned 40 in February, had initially signed a two-and-a-half-year deal when he joined Al Nassr from Manchester United in January 2023. His contract was set to expire this summer, but both parties are now set to continue their partnership for another season.
The extension, which has yet to be formally signed, was verbally agreed upon, according to sources close to the club. An official announcement is expected soon. Despite his age, Ronaldo has shown little sign of slowing down. He remains a key player for Al Nassr, leading the league with 16 goals from 19 appearances this season. His performances have proven that his remarkable longevity and goal-scoring abilities are still at an elite level.
Al Nassr’s decision to extend Ronaldo’s contract comes at a time when the Saudi Pro League is shifting its focus toward younger players. The club has made waves in the transfer market by signing 21-year-old striker Jhon Duran, signaling their intent to build for the future. Nonetheless, Ronaldo's influence and experience are still highly valued by the club.
While there have been rumors linking Ronaldo to moves to Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, and even Fenerbahce under Jose Mourinho, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has consistently expressed his admiration for Al Nassr and his commitment to the club. “For me, the most important thing is to be professional, to push hard, respect the club, respect your contract,” Ronaldo said at the beginning of 2025.
His new extension could see him stay at Al Nassr until June 2026, ensuring that the club continues to benefit from his star power and leadership for at least one more year.
