Fergie: Ronaldo Stays

On the same day that Sir Alex Ferguson insisted that Manchester United's brilliant Portuguese winger would be staying at Old Trafford, hewas expected and missed by the Paparazzi, leading to fears that Ronny has gone AWOL.

Sir Alex Ferguson is confident enough that Ronaldo will be in Red next season, saying "He is a Manchester United player. He is going to be playing here next season. Believe me, it is all over."

But Cristiano Ronaldo was widely expected to return to the club for high-level talks with Sir Alex at Manchester United's Carrington training ground yesterday. Hundreds of press adn photographers lined the way into Carrington, hoping to get a picture of Ronny looking scared, happy or both, but Ronaldo never showed up.

The Press are speculating that Ronaldo has decided that he does not want to return to United, and will sit it out until United sell him, whilst United have put word around that Ronaldo wasn't expected yesterday, but towards the end of the week.
