FIFA Vote

Ronaldo has the chance to stick the proverbial v's at all those who booed him yesterday, all those that have started Ronaldo hate sites, all the press who have chosen to cast him as the villain, created dart-boards with his face on, etc, etc.

The Fifa Gillette Young Player of the tournament is down to just 6 contenders, with fans having had the chance to vote for who they want to win.

The Scottish, apparently, started a campaign to make Ronaldo win the most fans votes after his heroics against England. The English, seeing that Ronaldo was winning then had a viral campaign of their own - pushing some Ecuadorian striker into a massive lead with over 100,000 votes in 24 hours after the email was sent round.

But Ronaldo may well have the last laugh. With FIFA and Gillette hoping for a high profile trophy winner, and the winner actually selected by a panel of judges as opposed to loud-mouthed Ronaldo-hating England fans, Ronaldo must be in the running.

Ronaldo faces competition from Barnetta (no chance), Messi (wasn't given a chance by Pekerman), Podolski (maybe), Valencia (who is he and what has he done?), Fabregas (possibly), and Ronaldo.

Ronaldo has gone the furthest, and was in great form last night again, as he has been all tournament. FIFA want a high-profile winner, and Ronny fits the bill!

Come on Ronaldo!!!!
