NO MISSING OZIL

The manager of Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti, has denied that his side is missing the German midfielder Mesut Ozil who was sold to Arsenal on the last day of the pre-season transfer window.

Ozil has had a great time at his new club so far. He has played a major part in Arsenal’s success in the ongoing Premier League.
On the other hand, things aren’t going that well for Madrid in the ongoing season. They are at no. 3 in the La Liga points table with 19 points in 8 matches. They have got 5 points less than the table toppers Barcelona and that’s not a small margin.

Ancelotti was talking to the reporters yesterday about the performance of Real Madrid so far in the season. When he was asked if he regrets his decision of selling Ozil, he said, “No, not at all. I am happy that Mesut is doing well for Arsenal. I want to give him my best wishes. But, I don’t think we are missing him. We are going alright upfront.”

“Scoring has not been a problem for us. We have found the net often enough. But, the concern is that we have conceded frequently as well. We need to sort that soon. We need improvements in defense.”
When asked about Gareth Bale who is suffering from thigh injury at the moment, Ancelotti said, “I think he should be fit for the match against Malaga.”

“He is disappointed to have missed the Champions League game. He was looking forward to it. But, he is a calm guy and he knows how to deal with difficult periods.”

“He doesn’t have any major fitness issue. He will be back soon.”
Bale has so far played 3 games for Madrid and has scored 1 goal.
