Cristiano Ronaldo played all 90 minutes as Portugal managed a convincing win against Azerbaijan away from home to put them back in contention to qualify for the Euro 2008 Finals.

First-half goals from Bruno Alves and Hugo Almeida ensured Portugal eased to victory in Azerbaijan to get their UEFA EURO 2008â„¢ Group A campaign back on track.

Cristiano Ronaldo had two chances to score, but could do nothing more than force the keeper into two good saves, whilst his team-mates Deco and Almeida to do the assists for the goals.

Cristiano was very much involved in the game, despite the lack of goals, with one of the Azer defenders sent off for a wild lunge at Roony on 28 minutes, and Cristiano then getting up nad running at Azer only to strike the post!

Portugal need to win theri next game to give themselves a three-point buffer over Finland
