Ronaldo backs Pellegrini
Cristiano Ronaldo has spoken out in favour of current Real Madrid coach Manuel Pellegrini, who is in danger of getting the sack.
After a disappointing season, which saw Real crash out of the Copa del Rey in their first game against non-league opposition, and then fall by the wayside in the Champions League, even winning the Primera Liga may not be enough for Pellegrini to keep his job.
Jose Mourinho has been linked to the role, but Ronaldo wants Pellegrini to continue. "I'm going to be honest. I like people who have a winning mentality. And with that I'm not referring to Mourinho, or another coach," explained the Portuguese winger.
"I am very happy with Pellegrini. He's doing very well and helping us a lot. For me he is the most important coach. It's not my thing to talk about other coaches. You have to have respect for Pellegrini.
"Let's hope he stays at Real Madrid one, two or three more years."
