Ronaldo in Portugal Euro 2008 Squad

Cristiano Ronaldo has been named in the Portuguese 2008 squad (as if its a surprise!)

Portugal coach Luiz 'Big Phil' Scolari chose Ronaldo to be his side's star-man, with many in Portugal believing that the hopes of the nation rest on his shoulders alone.

Scolari wants Cristiano to replicate his brilliant club form.

"There is no doubt that Ronaldo is in great form but I cannot guarantee he will be in the same form as he's been at Manchester United," said Scolari.

Ronaldo and Manchester United team-mate Nani were included in the 23-man party for the tournament, starting on 7 June.
