Ronaldo Ready to be Kicked
Cristiano Ronaldo is waiting to be kicked on Wednesday night against Inter Milan, but is taking each ankle-tap and sly dig as a small compliment - that his game needs stopping by any means necessary!
"If someone kicks me, I get up and I go again. I am not afraid of being kicked — it is part of the game. I see it as a challenge that they have to kick me to stop me.â€
Speaking ahead of teh big game, Ronaldo caimed he will use all his experience to help the team. “Sometimes it is difficult because of the atmosphere in the stadium and the importance of the game. I’m only 24 but I have a lot of experience of big games and that helps because you learn through situations.
He said: “We have to score now and we have to win. It won’t be easy but I am confident we will win. In the first leg we had clear opportunities and we should have taken them. But we have another opportunity and have our fans to back us up.
Ronaldo may have been crowned as the World Player of the Year, and Ballon D'or winner this year, but that doesn't stop him wanting to improve, and wanting to win.
“It’s hard to win the Champions League and the feeling it gives you is amazing. I want that feeling again and again.â€
He added: “The peak of my career is now. I don’t have a weakness but I do have parts of my game that need work. If you stop trying to improve and think that you are complete, you go backwards — so I am not finished yet.â€
