RONALDO SET FOR STUNNING NEW DEAL

Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly on the verge of signing a stunning new contract extension with Al-Nassr, keeping him at the Saudi club for at least another two seasons. The 40-year-old forward, who continues to defy age with his performances, is set to pocket eye-watering sums over the next two years.

According to reports from Marca, negotiations for a contract extension began back in January and are now nearing completion. Ronaldo, currently one of the highest-paid athletes in the world, is expected to earn a colossal €400 million (£342.65 million) across the next two years. This deal would push his already substantial net worth to approximately $800 million (£602 million).

Ronaldo's current earnings, including football wages and sponsorships, are reported to be around £167.9 million per year. Under this new contract, his earnings would skyrocket, bringing his weekly wage to £3.29 million, translating to £469,389 daily, £19,557 hourly, and an astonishing £5 per second.

While these figures are mind-boggling, Ronaldo has consistently maintained that his decision to move to the Middle East was not solely motivated by money. In the Netflix documentary "Saudi Pro League: Kickoff," he stated, "In the beginning, everything was not easy. The culture is different. My family is part of me and they always go wherever I go. The Saudi people are very friendly. They are people like me who want to give back."

When asked if his move to Al-Nassr was driven by financial incentives, Ronaldo was clear in his response: "I’m here to win. To win trophies, to make Al Nassr better, to make the Saudi Pro League better, change the culture. I want to be successful, I want to leave a legacy. This is what I want."

Despite the astronomical contract, Ronaldo's commitment remains focused on achieving success and leaving a lasting impact on both the club and the league. Currently, Al-Nassr sit in third place in the Saudi Pro League, trailing leaders Al-Ittihad by eight points with just a few games remaining in the season.
