RONALDO IS STAYING

The president of Real Madrid football club, Florentino Perez, has said that he doesn’t expect Cristiano Ronaldo to sign for any other club this summer.

A couple of big clubs i.e. Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain have shown interest in Ronaldo and the Portuguese striker is believed to make a move this summer.

There had recently been some reports that Ronaldo has agreed to sign a new deal with Madrid, but, Ronaldo wrote on his twitter account a couple of days back that all those reports are false.

When asked about that tweet of Ronaldo, Perez said, “In media, there were some reports which were not true. So, through that tweet, Cristiano was just trying to make things clear. I don’t think that tweet gives any indication that he is going to leave the club.”
“We are going to sort out this contract issue pretty soon. I am sure Cristiano will finish his career at Real Madrid.”

“Cristiano is undoubtedly our best player and he is very important for Madrid’s future. So, keeping him at the club is currently our first priority.”

Real Madrid is currently without a manager as Jose Mourinho left the club at the end of the last season to sign for Chelsea. There have been speculations that the PSG manager Carlo Ancelotti might be Mourinho’s successor.

When asked about that, Perez said, “It’s true that we are keen to sign Ancelotti and we have almost finalized the deal. But, he needs to sort out some issues with PSG before we make any official announcement. Hopefully, everything goes smoothly.”

Real Madrid is also reported to be interested in the Malaga midfielder Isco. When asked about that, Perez said, “Our technical team is very impressed with Isco. They think that he is good enough to play for us. The player himself is also keen to sign for Madrid. So, there is a good possibility that he is arriving here.”
