Taylor Says Nothing Happened

Steven Taylor, the 'rubbish footballer' rumoured to have had a tunnel bust-up with Cristiano Ronaldo, has spoken out against the Press stories!

Speaking to the Evening Chronicle, Taylor said that there was no falling out. "There was no bust-up with Ronaldo. I shook hands with him at the end of the game."

We reported earlier that Ronaldo had called Taylor a "rubbish footballer", and Taylor had reportedly called Cristiano Ronaldo "ugly". The incident happened after a shocking tackle by Taylor, smashing Cris to the floor with his forearm.

It has since been revealed that Taylor didn't actually get booked for the incident - Ref Steve Bennett said in his report that Taylor was booked for his challenge on Michael Carrick, not on Ronaldo. Sadly, even though the Ref has seen it on TV and said he would have acted, no further action can be taken.
