Ronaldo 'Broken' after Loss

Cristiano Ronaldo was inconsolable last night as his Portugal side dropped out of the World Cup thanks to a goal from Spain's David Villa.

Portugal had qualified from the group of death, finishing in second place behind Brazil, and had looked one of the more potent teams in the tournament, having blitzed North Korea 7-0. All that won them was a last 16 round match against rivals Spain, who remain one of the favourites for the trophy.

David Villa scored the only goal of the game, and Ronny cut a frustrated figure out on the pitch, with Portugal failing to get many attacks going, or even get the ball through to him.

After the game he told his agent's website "I feel a broken man, completely disconsolate, frustrated and an unimaginable sadness". Poor Ronny. :(
