Ronaldo has a Baby!

We never saw THIS one coming! Cristiano Ronaldo has announced that he is now a proud father, and will be taking full custody of the baby boy once the paperwork has been filed to take him to Portugal!

A statement on his official facebook site said that Ronaldo was overjoyed with the news. "It is with great joy and emotion that I inform I have recently become a father to a baby boy," said Ronaldo.

"With the agreement of the mother, who wishes to remain anonymous, I will have exclusive custody of my son," added the world's most expensive footballer.

"I request everyone to fully respect my right to privacy [and that of the child] at least on issues as personal as these are."

The mother of the baby is based in America, and has asked to remain anonymous.

It's believed that Ronaldo's mother, Dolores, and his sisters Elma and Katia, will take care of the baby whilst Ronaldo is away with Real.

Congratulations Ronaldo, and we'll let you know the son's name as soon as we find out!
