Portugal Back on Track

Cristiano Ronaldo fired Portugal back into contention for their Euro 2012 Qualifying dreams, with an early free-kick goal helping to send the Porgtuguese on their way.

It took just three minutes for Ronny to score, netting when he placed his direct free-kick to the right of the keeper. The goalie may have been at fault, but that didn't dampen down the celebrations!

"I chose where I wanted to place the ball and thankfully scored the goal that paved the way for the win," said Ronaldo.

meireles and Postiga completed a routine 3-1 victory. Portugal's next game isn't until July 2011.
