CR7 MADRID LOCKER UP FOR AUCTION
A rare opportunity has arisen for football fans to own a piece of Real Madrid history as 24 lockers from the Santiago Bernabeu are being auctioned off this month. These lockers, which were used by iconic players such as David Beckham, Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Sergio Ramos, Luka Modric, and Zinedine Zidane, were part of the stadium’s old dressing rooms, now removed due to the stadium’s massive renovations.
The auction is taking place at Sotheby’s in London, with bidding open until November 26. Prices for the lockers start at £10,000 each, and a portion of the proceeds will go to Real Madrid's charitable foundation. The lockers represent a significant piece of football memorabilia, especially for fans who followed the club during its "Galacticos" era.
The auction is a collaboration between Sotheby’s and Pursuit 3 Marketing Group, Real Madrid’s official memorabilia partner. The Bernabeu’s renovation, which increased its capacity to 85,000, also introduced features like a 360-degree screen, a retractable roof, and a luxurious new "Sky Bar." Despite these upgrades, Real Madrid is facing a lawsuit worth £13.8 million from Anastasia Gourmet over the delayed opening of the exclusive VIP bar.
For fans who’ve followed the stars of the club over the years, owning one of these lockers would be a rare and personal connection to the legacy of the world-renowned club.
