Ronaldo: Nothing Went Right

Cristiano Ronaldo was left rueing the Champions League Final against Barcelona, and has again opened up the opportunity of playing elsewhere next season.

Speaking immediatly after the game, Ronaldo accepted United hadn't been good enough. "We started very well but after [the goal] I didn’t see any more of Manchester United. Barcelona played better than us, they controlled the game, created more opportunities and they deserved to win.

“You lose games because you make bad mistakes and this is what happened [on Wednesday]. We didn’t play well, we didn’t play compact."

“It’s really hard to retain this trophy but I still believe Manchester [United] has the chance to win more in the next [few] seasons.”

When asked abouthis future, Ronaldo declined to comment.

"My future now is the national squad, so that we can win, so that we can be in a good position in our World Cup qualifying group. About clubs, I do not want to talk about that, I want to rest, go on holiday.

"I am very tired, I have played a lot of games, under a lot of pressure. Is my future at Manchester United? Yes, maybe yes, I don’t know. We will see.”
